We find customers have questions about getting their data from these backups. Can they restore earlier versions of Project Insight or somehow get a copy of the backup?
Backup data in the hosted (aka SaaS) environment includes data from multiple segments of customers at once. A master database can be used for disaster recovery but cannot be separated from one customer to the next without extracting the data through a data migration process.
In order to provide any one customer's data directly to the customer, a data migration must take place followed by a thorough test of the resulting database backup to ensure that no other customer data is included. This service is requisitioned through professional services and requests for the service should be made through your account manager.
