Time Entries By Company sets the configuration to allow time entries at the company level without a project or task selected.
Company Time Entries Billable on Default sets the billable flag as selected by default when entering time by Company.
Company Time Entries Billable Toggle-able enables a resource to chose if the time is billable.
Time Entries By Project sets the configuration to allow time entries on projects without the requirement to attach the time entry to a specific task. Unlike the Time Entries by Company, this option cannot be further configured for more specific rules within Project Insight. Exceptions to the time entries by project rule cannot be made on a project-by-project basis.
Time Approvals selects the time sheet approval process to the preferences for your organization. More detail on the selections below is available in Time Approval Work Flow.
None (Auto-Approved Time Sheets) sets all time entries as approved automatically. No approval routing process will occur.
By Time Sheets requires those entering time to group multiple entries into time sheets prior to submitting time. Time sheet approvers will either approve or reject all time sheet entries within the time sheet which are set for their approver responsibilities as either the project manager or the final approver.
By Time Entries requires the approvers to approve each time entry. Time entries are available for approval upon entry without the requirement that the resources entering time submit the entries for approval.
Approved does no approval routing for time sheets. Time entries are automatically approved as they are entered.
PM Approval Only routes all project time entries through a project manager with no further approval routing required.
PM Approval & Approver routes all project time entries through a project manager, followed by routing of the time sheets to a final approver.
Enable Approver Selections will allow each user to select any time sheet approver, while continuing to automatically set the user's default time sheet approver if no other approver is selected. If all users will have only one approver, this option should not be checked. This option cannot be configured differently from one user to the next. Either all users can submit time sheets for approval to all approvers or all users can only submit time sheets to their default approver as assigned by the Project Insight user manager. Time Sheet Period will default the time sheet date range selector to Monthly, Weekly or Semi-Monthly. Semi-Monthly is first day of the month through the 15th and the 16th through the last day of the month. This default should be set based on the typical time frame within which time sheets are submitted.
Time Sheet Minimum will validate that a minimum number of hours are entered before accepting a new time sheet submission. The minimum hours are specified either in the default minimum hours setting here or in the user's profile Resource Info settings (overrides this default). Time sheet minimum hours are not enforced for any user set as a Time Sheet Approver.
Time Sheet Minimum Daily Hours validates that a minimum number of hours per day are entered before accepting a time sheet. This can also be set by resource within user resource info.
Time Sheet Maximum Daily Hours validates that a maximum number of hours per day are entered before accepting a time sheet. This can also be set by resource within user resource info
Lock Down Period will set the time period within which time entries will be locked out from further entry or edit. For example, a weekly lock down period will lock down all time entries at the end of each Saturday. It will add any days following Saturday from the "Lock Down Grace Period" before it locks down the time entries through Saturday. This option should be set to "None" until a clear understanding is reached as to the potential consequences of no longer allowing any editing to time entry history.
Lock Down Grace Period will set the grace period, in calendar days, following the lock down period within which the time entry lock down will not take place. For example, a weekly lock down period with a lock down grace period of 4 will allow new time entry and editing for last week through Wednesday of that week.
Enable Time Entry Grid Holiday/PTO Default On enables Holiday and PTO inputs on the time entry grid.
Allow Time Entry Grid Custom Dates enables custom date inputs on Time Grid.
Allow Time Entry Worksheet Custom Dates enables custom date inputs on the time entry worksheet.
Allow Custom Time Sheet Name enables users to create their own name for a time sheet.
Enable Company Filter for Time Sheet Submission enables a resource to filter entries by company when submitting a time sheet.
Enable Project Filter for Time Sheet Submission enables a resource to filter entries by project when submitting a time sheet.
Time Sheet Unlock enables a user who has both System Administrator and Invoice Manager roles to unlock a time sheet. This is intended to temporarily unlock a time sheet in the event that corrections need to be made following the locking of a time sheet. This is very specific to time sheet locking and does NOT override the time entry locking. Time entries locked based on the lock down period cannot be unlocked regardless of the lock status of the time sheet within which the entries reside.
Time Sheet Reset Download enables a user who has both the System Administrator and Invoice Manager roles to reset the downloaded date. This is intended to temporarily reset the downloaded date so that integrations which rely upon the downloaded date to determine what has and has not been previously downloaded can be reset to download again if necessary.
